ASU School of Engineering Posts 10,000th Lecture with Mediasite

Students at the Arizona State University (ASU) Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering now have access to more online lectures than any other university in the country, according to Sonic Foundry, the company that provides the Webcasting platform the school uses. The school recently recorded its 10,000th lecture.

Tegrity Launches Enhanced Lecture Capture for Campus 2.0

Iowa State To Develop Moodle-Blackboard Integration Software

LodeStar Integrates with eFolioWorld Portfolio

Stanford Testing iPhone Application Suite

A suite of five software applications developed by students at Stanford University to run on Apple's iPhone is now being tested on campus. Two are for students, to manage course registration and bills. The other three will allow users to access Stanford's searchable campus map, get team scores and schedules, and check listings in the university's online directory, StanfordWho.

Online University Aims To Boost Rural Math and Science Teachers

In an effort to increase the number of graduates pursuing science and math teaching careers in rural areas, Western Governors University, an online university, is awarding 150 new scholarships through its new WGU Scholarships for Rural Mathematics and Science Educators program. A portion of a recent $3 million grant from the United States Department of Labor is funding the scholarships.

North Seattle CC Adds Plato Online Algebra Course to Math Formula

North Seattle Community College (NSCC) will be adopting Plato Learning's newest online software for post-secondary--Academic Systems Algebra--to support the college's developmental mathematics courses. The math series covers the principles of algebra in a self-paced online format. Since spring 2008, NSCC has utilized Academic Systems Algebra to instruct 200 students enrolled in basic, elementary, and intermediate algebra courses.

DePaul Weaves SS&C Tech Finance Material into Hybrid Graduate Course

Chicago's DePaul University is trying out SS&C Technologies Zoologic Learning Solutions as its Web-based course content provider for graduate-level finance courses. Students will use 10 Zoologic Web-based courses as online study material in the "Financial Statement and Security Analysis" course. Zoologic course topics include accounting, credit risk, and equity.
