MNSCU'S new accountability dashboard monitors performance and tracks strategic goals.
BI SAVES BUCKS. eThority's Enterprise Edition business intelligence solution is generating $600k in annual savings for Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The web-based software automates the college's extensive financial reporting for grant recipients, taking the place of three weeks of staff time per month.
IMPROVING ON 3LCD. Sanyo, manufacturer of LCD and DLP projectors, has introduced a new 4LCD optical engine, which adds a color-control device to conventional 3LCD (red/green/blue) systems. The proprietary colorcontrol device allows a projector to automatically control the amount of yellow light in an image, producing higher luminosity with improved color accuracy and clarity, according to company representatives. The first projector to feature the 4LCD engine, Sanyo's PLC-XP200L model, ships next month with an MSRP of $9,995.
DRIVING PERFORMANCE. A new accountability dashboard application designed by iBusiness Solutions will monitor performance across the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system. The interactive, web-based dashboard provides 10 key performance measures tied to MNSCU system strategic goals (such as access and opportunity, quality programs and services, and meeting state and regional economic needs). MNSCU staff, state legislators, and the public can access and drill down on the data here.
PRIMO PORTAL. The University of Notre Dame's (IN) Hesburgh Libraries, in conjunction with the Michiana Academic Library Consortium, have selected the Primo library search and access tool from Ex Libris to serve as the university's primary library portal. The Primo software will provide a single interface for discovery and delivery of local and remote resources, including books, journal articles, and digital objects within the libraries' collections.
